Recently, the Shenyang Public Security Bureau, after careful investigation and strenuous efforts, successfully cracked a major case of infringement of trade secrets that caused direct economic losses of SANY Heavy Equipment Co., Ltd. of more than 53 million yuan. All the five main criminal suspects were arrested, which effectively safeguarded the company’s core interests and development confidence.

In June 2019, the Food and Drug Investigation Detachment of the Shenyang Municipal Public Security Bureau learned during a visit to Sany Heavy Equipment Co., Ltd. that the sales volume of roadheaders produced by the company has dropped significantly, mainly because similar products that are suspected of infringement have appeared on the market. After investigation and evidence collection, in November 2020, the special investigating team arrested all five criminal suspects including Hou XX (male, 54 years old). After interrogation, Hou XX and other five suspects confessed to the criminal facts of infringing on the trade secrets of Sany Heavy Equipment Co., Ltd. After investigation, Hou XX and other five suspects were originally employees of Sany Heavy Equipment Co., Ltd. Four years ago, five people used their positions to steal the company's trade secrets. Subsequently, the five left their jobs and set up a company to conduct illegal trading activities.

At present, five criminal suspects including Hou XX have been criminally detained by Shenyang police in accordance with the law on suspicion of infringing commercial secrets, and the case is being further processed.
