On November 25, the WeChat Intellectual Property Protection Conference was held in Chengdu. The WeChat legal team released the "2020 WeChat Brand Protection Report" and the "2020 WeChat Copyright Protection Report", fully disclosing the practical measures and results of WeChat's intellectual property protection. In recent years, WeChat has built a set of "three in one, two key points, and full scene coverage" intellectual property protection system, which integrates the WeChat brand rights protection platform, WeChat copyright protection plan, and a fully electronic infringement complaint system, and take trademark right and copyright protection as the focus of protection, covering all scenarios such as WeChat personal accounts, official accounts, and mini programs.
From July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2020, WeChat provided more than 410,000 infringement clues to brand owners, processed more than 71,000 infringing personal accounts, and processed more than 47,000 infringing official accounts and mini programs. The WeChat brand rights protection platform has now accessed more than 390 global brands, and has successfully met the various needs of government regulatory agencies, the pharmaceutical industry and the majority of brand owners.
