Hunan Protected 410 Well-known Trademarks through Directory Management

Hunan Province implemented directory management to protect well-known trademarks in the Province, further strengthened trademark administrative protection, and created a high ground for intellectual property protection. There were 410 enterprise trademarks, including Mengjie, Jiugui, and Tang Renshen were included in the Hunan Well-known Trademark Protection List.

 

According to the deployment, the provincial market supervision and management departments at all levels strengthened the supervision and inspection of the infringement of the exclusive rights of registered trademarks in the protection list, and carry out special trademark protection enforcement actions in a timely manner; timely collect clues on the infringement of trademarks in the Hunan Provincial Protection List in other provinces and cities, give full play to the role of the cross-regional intellectual property administrative protection coordination mechanism, actively carry out cross-provincial and municipal trademark infringement enforcement and protection cooperation, and enhance the protection efficiency of trademarks in the protection list.

 

If a well-known trademark in the Protection List is maliciously registered by others, an irregular application for registration or improper use, etc., the trademark owner may request help from the provincial market supervision and management departments, and they shall actively provide legal guidance. The Department shall promptly investigate and deal with the issue, and the Provincial Market Supervision Administration Department will seek support from the State Administration of Market Supervision and China National Intellectual Property Administration in a timely manner based on the situation.

 

As Hunan Province makes every effort to promote the entire chain of intellectual property creation, application, protection, management and service, the number of trademark applications, registrations and effective registrations in the Province has steadily increased. As of the end of November, there were approximately 699,700 valid registered trademarks in the Province and 410 valid well-known trademarks.
