Hubei Police Cooperated to Cracked down on an Intellectual Property Infringement Case of five million yuan

Recently, the police of Dawu County, Hubei Province, cooperated with a Guangzhou Pharmaceutical Technology Company, cracked down on a case of counterfeiting the registered trademark of Soonfast Pharmaceutical, and selling counterfeited and poor quality gel products, involved more than 5 million yuan. The criminal suspect Tang, Zhang and Liu have been detained by law.

Since 2017, Tang has seen the great commercial value of Soonfast antibacterial gel, and emerged the illegal plan. Tang together with Zhang from Guangzhou Ertiantang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., counterfeited the Soonfast trademark, produced adulterated and poor quality Soonfast antibacterial gel, and colluded with Liu to sell the products in the market in a wide range.

In order to maximize the profits, the three suspects used inferior raw materials at risk, which in turn led to the reduction of the efficacy of the fake Soonfast antibacterial gel, which also caused great harm to the physical health of consumers. Due to the high degree of imitation of counterfeited products from design to trademark, it is hard to distinguish for the consumers, which seriously damaged the reputation of Soonfast's brand and directly caused huge economic losses to Soonfast Pharmaceutical.

After receiving complaints from consumers, Soonfast Pharmaceutical found that counterfeit and inferior Soonfast antibacterial gels had flooded the market, which has seriously affected consumers’ interests and health. In order to stop the situation from deteriorating, and to control the impact, the company was forced to suspend production for market purge, which provided strong evidence for the police to solve the case.
