Guizhou has achieved full coverage of Trademark Acceptance Window in all cities and prefectures

On February 3, it was learned from the Guizhou Provincial Market Supervision Bureau that the Trademark Acceptance Window in Bijie City was officially opened, and Guizhou has achieved full coverage of the Trademark Acceptance Window in cities and prefectures. Bijie's Acceptance Window is the 9th trademark business acceptance window approved by China National Intellectual Property Administration to establish in Guizhou province, city (prefecture), and its set up means that Guizhou province has achieved full coverage of trademark business acceptance cities and prefectures.

In recent years, with rapid economic development, Guizhou province's demand for trademark registration has increased rapidly. In 2020, there were 125,600 trademark applications in the province, a year-on-year increase of 40%. As of the end of December 2020, the number of valid trademark registrations in the province reached 266,900.

Previously, since there was no trademark acceptance window in Bijie City, most market entities could only come to the provincial capital of Guiyang or other cities and prefectures to handle trademark business, which was time-consuming and laborious. In order to effectively reduce the cost and burden of enterprises, the Provincial Intellectual Property Office actively applied to the Trademark Office of China National Intellectual Property Administration to set up new trademark acceptance window in Bijie City. On January 4, CNIPA officially approved the establishment of an acceptance window in Bijie, allowed enterprises and operators in Bijie City to quickly apply for trademark matters at their doorsteps.

It is reported that after the province's trademark acceptance window has achieved full coverage in nine cities and prefectures; it will further deepen reforms, optimize the work process, and fully provide 34 trademark services including trademark registration application acceptance, modification, transfer, renewal, and collection of fees, and to provide more efficient and convenient services to the public to help market players to innovate and develop.
