2017 China IP Magazines Footprints in Global IP Conferences

In 2017, China IP Magazine developed and maintained sound cooperative relations with many international conferences around the world. China IP Magazine has left its footprint in 10 more conferences held in many different countries around the world, among most of which, China IP Magazine is the unique official media partner from China.

 

Berlin Mar 6-8

The 8th Global IP Exchange

The 8th Global IP Exchange was held from 6-8 March in Estrel Berlin, which brought more than 140 senior IP decision makers to discuss the relevant IP issues. Apart from semantic topic presentations, breakfast briefings,case studies, there are 6 times One-To-One Business Meetings per day, 2 days' evening breakfast briefings with the aim for participants to network. The organizer IQPC Exchange's team is very professional. They have appointed coordination persons to plan the meeting time slot in order to make sure the One-To-One business meetings were conducted successfully. China IP Magazine attended this event as the only Chinese media partner.

International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva

International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva was held at the Palexpo Pavilion in Geneva, Switzerland from29 March to 2 April, 2017. More than 100 inventions had been exhibited. Inventors and exhibitors came from the following countries, Switzerland, China, Korea, Japan,Thailand, Egypt, Turkey, and Israel etc. Exhibitions covered various fields, such as aerospace, environmental protection, machinery manufacturing, beauty and pharmaceutical industry etc. At the same time, technical professionals, intellectual property experts, multinational investment banking, financial experts, well-known international media, as well as thousands of visitors visited the expo and participated in various activities.

 

Hannover Apr 24-28

HANNOVER MESSE 2017

The world-class industry technology event —HANNOVERMESSE 2017 was successfully held in Hannover Exhibition Center, Germany. Themed by "Integrated Industry –Creating Value", the event drew 6,551 enterprises from70 countries and regions. Founded in 1947, HANNOVERMESSE is the biggest industry exhibition in area in the world, recognized as one of the most important platform for connection between global industry design and international trade. China IP also had reporters to witness the innovation and integration of industry at the event.

 

Barcelona May 20-24

139th Annual Meeting of INTA

On May 21, about 10,600 people who have registered in the official website for participation came to Fira GranVia in Barcelona, Spain to attend the Annual Conference of INTA. On the opening ceremony, the CEO of INTA, Mr. Etienne Sanz de Acedo, 2017 president of INTA Mr. Joseph Ferretti and Minister of Education, Culture and Sports of Spain Mr. ínigoMéndez de Vigo addressed keynote speeches. It's the last year of 2014-2017 Strategic Plan and Mr. Etienne Sanz de Acedo summarized the implementation of the plan during the 4 years from 4 aspects including trademark protection, internal and external communication,international expansion and member service.

IP Key: Celebrating EU-China IP Cooperation

On the occasion of the successful completion of 4 years of cooperation in the field of IP between the EU and China through the IP Key project implemented by the EUIPO, the Office organized on 2nd of June a celebration event in Brussels at the margins of the 19th EU-China IP Summit.Mr Christian Archambeau – Deputy Executive Director –delivered a key note speech, making reference to the IP Key achievements and highlighting the present and future EUIPO's role in cooperation through the promotion of the European Trade Mark and Design Network (TMDN) tools. China IP as the official media partner also attended the conference.

Global E-commerce Summit 2017

From Wow to Now and How, Global E-commerce Summit2017 (GES2017) convened attendees from over 50 countries fora journey that explored the possible and actionable activities in the future of shopping. From 12–14 June, GES assembled an impressive range of international e-commerce professionals to share real-world experiences and thoughtful insights on the future of shopping at the Fairmont Rey Juan Carlos I Hotel in Barcelona. Speakers, sponsors and delegates alike, contributed to the event with rich content during keynotes and panel sessions; an open exchange of ideas during networking and policy sessions; and thoughtful observations at the event Silent Theatre and Knowledge Cafés.

The 36th Annual Conference of ECTA

From June 28-30, the 36th Annual Conference of ECTA was held in Budapest, Hungary with the theme of TRADE MARKS: A BRIDGE BETWEEN TWO. The theme implied that trade marks as bridges connect people. The event covered Committee Meetings, Council Meeting, Workshops for different themes, Annual General Meeting, Parallel Sessions etc. discussing many topics, such as Wine Brands and Labelling, Trade Marks and Languages,Psychology and Marketing of Brands etc. China IP as the only Chinese official media partner joined this event.

 

Beijing Sep 5-6

The 8th China Patent Annual Conference

The 8th China Patent Annual Conference themed by"Patent Driving Development of Real Economy" was held in Beijing Conference Center on September 5 and 6, 2017. The event was hosted by Intellectual Property Publishing House Co., Ltd., with input from the State Intellectual Property Office, the Ministry of Industry and Information and World Intellectual Property Organization among others. It reached a new stage in terms of patent analysis,exploration and promotion. Elites from various industries shared their views on how to promote transformation and upgrade of Chinese real economy comprehensively.

 

Brussels Nov 8-9

2017 Europe Data Protection Congress

From November 8-9, with over 1,500 attendees, 2017Europe Data Protection Congress ended successfully in Brussels held by International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) which is the most biggest and comprehensive global information privacy community in the world and it is committed to helping members successfully manage risk, protect privacy data and make professionals to acquire enough resources and opportunities to promote their career. Under changing electronic era, data safety attaches much importance to all industries. As the only China media, China IP Magazine also attended this congress.

 

London Nov 16

2017 Food & Beverage and Law & IP Conference

On November 16, the 3rd Food & Beverage and Law &IP was held in Hilton London Olympia, London. IP experts and jurists concentrating on food shared the latest developments in food and beverage industry. The Jurist from Unilever, Mr. Neil Fether addressed his opening remarks for the conference. In the changeable age, reliable brands with high-quality are rather valuable to customers.Therefore, strategy of protecting brands should still be the key point. More than 100 participants from all over the world joined the conference and China IP Magazine was the only Chinese media cooperation partner.

 

Brussels Dec 7-8

The Pan-European Intellectual Property Summit

The Pan-European Intellectual Property Summit was successfully held on Dec. 7-8 in Brussels. Around 400worldwide participants attended this summit. The main topics are as follows: the Fourth Industrial Revolution and its impact on IP, fair remuneration of authors and performers, patent system, online trademark infringement and enforcement, FRAND and SEP's (licensing, litigation and alternate dispute resolution in SEP cases), data and industry 4.0, review copyright package. China IP Magazine attended this event as the only Chinese media partner.

 

Hong Kong Dec 7-8

The 7th BIP ASIA Forum

On December 7, the Business of Intellectual Property Asia (BIP Asia) Forum 2017, jointly organized by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government, Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and Hong Kong Design Centre, was held in Hong Kong. Entitled "IP &Innovation: Propelling Change, Growth and Connectivity",the BIP Asia Forum featured more than 80 heavy weight speakers and attracted over 2,500 participants. During the forum, the HKTDC signed a memorandum of understanding with National Eastern Tech-Transfer Center to forge a strategic partnership to promote IP information exchange and cooperation in Asia.

 

In 2018, China IP Magazine will spare no efforts to have more people hear the voice of the IP industry in China and help IP practitioners expand their global market through the above and other meetings. We will always provide a platform for the global IPers to communicate and cooperate in the IP industry.
