Claiming to be "National Drink", Yonghe Soymilk Related Company was fined 300,000 yuan

Recently, in the "Announcement on the First Batch of Typical Cases of False and Illegal Advertisements in 2020" issued by the Shanghai Municipal Market Supervision Bureau, Yonghe Foods (China) Co., Ltd. was listed for advertising violations.

The party concerned posted an advertisement titled "This cup of national drink, decisively like it!" on the WeChat official account, which contained the content of "Yonghe Soy Milk Products as a national gift to the embassies of various countries in China". It was verified that the parties presented their products to individual embassy staff on informal occasions, and the donation behavior and products were not authorized by the government, which was seriously inconsistent with the advertising claims. The above-mentioned advertising confusion concept by the parties misled the audience.

The market supervision department imposed administrative penalties on Yonghe Foods in accordance with the provisions of Article 55, Paragraph 1, of the "Advertising Law", ordered to stop publishing illegal advertisements, and imposed a fine of 300,000 yuan.
