At the municipal government press conference held on April 6, Zhou Lan, deputy director of the Executive Office of the SSE Organizing Committee and deputy director of the Municipal Commission of Commerce, introduced the 8th China (Shanghai) International Technology Fair. The Fair is co-sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the China National Intellectual Property Administration and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government. The Fair will be held at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center from April 15 to 17, 2021.

This Fair adheres to the concept of "innovation-driven development, protection of intellectual property rights, and promotion of technology trade", based on the national strategy of serving the country, focusing on advanced technological achievements, reflecting the requirements of digital transformation, linking domestic and foreign innovative resources, and striving to improve the quality of the exhibition. The total exhibition area of this year's Fair is 35,000 square meters, the scale is the same as the previous, with more than 1,000 exhibitors, which was a record high.

This year's Fair will set up five exhibition areas for scientific and technological innovation, urban renewal, professional technology, innovative ecology and transaction services.
