The Xiamen Intellectual Property Court Quanzhou Circuit Tribunal was inaugurated on the 23rd. In the future, all intellectual property cases where the parties' domicile is located in Quanzhou can be resolved locally and nearby. It is understood that this is the first circuit court in the jurisdiction of the Xiamen Intellectual Property Court.

At the unveiling site, Xiamen Intermediate People's Court, Quanzhou Market Supervision Administration, and Quanzhou Intellectual Property Protection Center jointly signed the "Intellectual Property Cooperative Protection Agreement." The Quanzhou Intellectual Property Protection Center will provide necessary assistance to the circuit courts for the investigation, opening of courts, judgments, and mediation of technical intellectual property cases, including the provision of trial courts, studios, office equipment, and security inspections for the circuit courts. In the future, the three parties will also send staff to each other to learn from each other. The Quanzhou Intellectual Property Protection Center can recommend three to five staff with professional backgrounds as part-time technical investigators of the Xiamen Intermediate People's Court to assist in the trial of technical intellectual property cases.

Xiamen Intellectual Property Court

In September 2019, the Xiamen Intellectual Property Court was established. The court has cross-regional jurisdiction over patents, new plant varieties, integrated circuit layout designs, technical secrets, computer software, and well-known names that occur in Xiamen, Zhangzhou, Quanzhou, and Longyan. First-instance civil and administrative cases of intellectual property rights in trademark identification and monopoly disputes.
