Of all the patents granted, invention patents amount to 61,172, with a 40.23% year-over-year increase. 390,170 of all the patents were in force, with a 21.89% year-over-year increase. Every 10,000 Beijing residents own 178.2 invention patents, with a 19.92% year-over-year increase.

As of September, 313,000 trademark registrations applied for by Beijing residents had been approved, with a 16.79% year-over-year increase. 2.478 million registered trademarks were in force, with a 15.74% year-over-year increase.
