The International Commercial Dispute Prevention and Settlement Organization (ICDPASO) today announces the launch of the Global Intellectual Property 50 Forum (全球知识产权50人论坛).

The Global Intellectual Property 50 Forum (GIP 50) is a non-profit organization with Annual Meetings and other branch conferences and side events to be held around the globe. 50 professionals in the international intellectual property sphere will be screened and appointed for the 50 seats on the Forum’s standing panel. New developments, trends, and difficult issues in the IP system will be discussed by the 50 distinguished panelists in meetings, dialogues, seminars, roundtable talks, and other activities hosted by the Forum, on the basis of which research papers and analysis results will be released from time to time. 

The term of the Forum’s organizing committee, where the chairperson, vice chairperson, secretary-general, and members are all recruited, is set to be three years. An intellectual property center will be established under the committee to function as the Forum’s secretariat.

Inaugurated on October 15, 2020, the ICDPASO is a non-governmental international organization founded by the China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC) in conjunction with business associations, legal service providers, university think tanks. It consists of 16 Chinese member entities and 35 non-Chinese member entities coming from 96 countries and regions in Asia, Europe, Africa, and South America.

The business scope of the ICDPASO includes international commercial dispute prevention, identification of laws applicable, due diligence, compliance management, data analysis and application, etc.

The application for the 50 seats on the GIP panel is now open. Please download the application form at http://en.icdpaso.org/content/2227 and submit the application form filled to secretariat@icdpaso.org with “GIP 50” entered in the subject line by March 31, 2022.
