China IP magazine on February 27 announced the nominees for the awards of the 2021 Outstanding In-House IP Managers in China on its offical WeChat account. 7 categories of awards are annually given by the IP-focused media company to recognize the excellence in the country’s IP sphere, which was reported to be of about 900,000 professionals in size nation wide. The In-House Managers awards are one of the 7 categories.

32 nominees are all IP counsels in legal departments of top Chinese companies and foreign companies’ Chinese units. They were selected from 60 candidates by a panel of 17 IP experts, including 5 to compete for the awards of extraordinariness excellence and 27 for the awards of excellence. 170 IP managers have been awarded on aggregate since 2012.

China IP will announce the winners at its 12 International Annual Forum to take place on March 18 to 20 in Beijing. The Forum has been primarily oriented to in-house IP counsels since its inception in 2011.
