With the theme of “New normal: Integrity, Insight and Innovation”, the 12th forum this year focus on IP management and legal compliance of enterprises. At the intelligent vehicle IP forum held in the afternoon, Ai Hezhi, senior director of product marketing at Qualcomm was invited to deliver an online speech on innovation and the new opportunities for intelligent connected vehicles. Ai Hezhi shared his insights on the automotive industry and its development trends, and introduces Qualcomm's products and technologies in the automotive field.
According to Ai Hezhi, many changes have taken place in all aspects of the auto industry as vehicles become electric, networked, intelligent and shared. With its past three decades of experience in wireless communication, smart phones, the Internet of Things (IoT) and other fields, as well as its rich IP reserves, Qualcomm has brought the traditional automobile industry into a new era of intelligence. Qualcomm has now launched a wide range of automotive solutions including the “Snapdragon Digital Chassis", with four major product lines: Snapdragon Auto Connectivity Platform , Snapdragon Cockpit Platform, Snapdragon Ride Platform, and Snapdragon Car-to-Cloud Services.
At present, Qualcomm automotive Wi-Fi solutions have supported more than 150 million vehicles worldwide, and the total valuation of its auto business has grown to $30 billion. Since 2020, more than 50 models of the mainstream domestic vehicle companies have been announced to carry the Snapdragon Automotive Cockpit Platform. At the Chengdu Auto Show, which ended at the end of August, Qualcomm and Great Wall Motor jointly launched the WEY Mocca DHT-PHEV LIDAR Edition. Powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon Ride Platform, the model is also the first autonomous driving model for the urban NOH (Navigation On HIPilot) in China.
Ai Hezhi also stressed that Qualcomm's achievements in the vehicle field is contributed to a large extent by its partners. Qualcomm will, as always, work together with domestic partners and automakers to create an innovative automobile ecosystem and promote the continuous development of the domestic automobile industry.
