Recently, the National Copyright Administration of the People’s Republic of China (NCAC) issued the Third List of Movies under Copyright Protection in 2019 (the List), in which ten movies released in April are involved, including The Shadow Play, P Storm, Shazam!,Wish You Were Here, Medical Examiner Dr. Qin 4: Corpse Whisperer, Lost In Love, Amusement Park, Push and Shove, Avengers: Endgame, and Savages.

The List was issued in accordance with the Opinions on Further Strengthening the Copyright Supervision of Internet Communication Works, plans on copyright protection priorities and authorization of works submitted by relevant rights owners.

Following measures will be taken during the warning period---thirty days since the film is released:

Online service providers are not allowed to offer films on the list to other channels without permission;

Online storage providers should prohibit any users from uploading films on the list;

Online service providers,e-commerce platforms, app stores that provide search links should accelerate the processing of deleting infringing content or disconnecting infringing links.

Local copyright administrative, law enforcement and regulatory departments should remind local online service providers to strengthen copyright monitoring and supervision. Acts like illegal transmission of films on the list should be handled rigorously and in time.
