Trademarks Solved in Shanghai Involving about 30 Million Yuan

Shanghai Police solved a major case on counterfeited registered trademarks on April 5, 2019 after two-month investigation in Henan and Jiangsu, destroying a den of producing & selling counterfeited cable and wire of a certain brand.

It’s investigated by Fengxian Police of Shanghai that the suspects established Henan Shengong Wire & Cable Co., Ltd. which was used for producing and selling counterfeited cable and wire of a certain brand in great quantities much of which had been equipped in established buildings and signed false contracts in the name of this company. With the joint detection, the police finally targeted the suspects by money flows for the payment accounts.

Cooperating with Henan Police, task force from Shanghai took actions to crack the factories, warehouses, retailers and people involved based on the pre-deployment, capturing the four suspects. According to the initial vetting by the police, a total of 8 projects, 10 construction units and about 30 million Yuan are involved in this case.

At present, the 4 suspects has been detained by the police and confessed. It’s known that the criminal gang was once a legal agent of the victim which turned to counterfeiting because of the great profits of producing and selling fake wire & cable. In the suspects’ statement, the materials for tendering, contracts and reception were all false.

At present, the case is still in further cognizance.
