Guangzhou Customs Launched the "Longteng Action 2019" Intellectual Property Protection Action

According to the unified deployment of the General Administration of Customs, Guangzhou Customs launched a six-month action on the intellectual property protection on July 1, codenamed "Longteng Action 2019".

In special operations, the Guangzhou Customs will actively apply the "big data + risk management" concept. According to the characteristics of different channels, such as sea, air, land, express, and mail to intensify joint risk research, test on the supervise control strength, and effectively block the tort and illegal activities and reduced them to zero. Our main focus is on drugs, health care products, electronic products, automotive accessories, personal care supplies, clothing, shoes and hats and other infringement commodities, and we need to constantly strengthen the positive supervision of the Customs to ensure public health and safety.

The Guangzhou Customs will focus on optimizing the business environment in the Great Bay District of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, to mainly protect well-known brands of multinational brand companies and the continuous cultivation and priority protection of local export intellectual property superior enterprises, enhance the confidence of enterprises in China, improve the innovation and rights protection capabilities of domestic enterprises, and will also work with other intellectual property administrative law enforcement departments and organizations of intellectual protection. Those departments and organizations will jointly set up platforms to provide professional guidance for enterprises to crack down on counterfeits and protect their intellectual property rights, promote brands overseas distribution of intellectual property rights, and support enterprises to actively apply intellectual property protection ways to enhance their comprehensive competitiveness.

It is reported that since this year, Guangzhou Customs has actually detained 116 batches of suspected infringing goods, with a total quantity of about 359,400 pieces and a case value of about 4.103 million yuan, which has protected the legitimate rights and interests of 66 intellectual property rights holders in 14 countries.
