From December 4, 2020, to December 7, the 12th China Trademark Festival will be held in Nanchang city of Jiangxi province.
It is reported that this year's China Trademark Festival hosted by the Chinese Trademark Association and Nanchang People's Government, with the theme of "Discuss trademark’s perspectives, Construct Brands’ Future". The Festival will include the China Trademark Annual Meeting and the Chinese Brand Trademark Fair. It will revolve around the national intellectual property strategy and brand strategy implementation. The Festival aims to set up a cross-border communication platform containing government departments, social organizations, business, academia. It plans for brand development, product brand development, and a real solution trademark hotspot problem, and to discuss future brand development.
In the first half of 2020, the number of trademark applications in China was 4.284 million, which increased by 24.61% year-on-year. There were 322 enterprises approved to use special marks of geographical indication products, and 364 geographical indication trademarks were approved and registered. By the end of June 2020, the number of valid registered trademarks in China has reached 27.414 million, ranking first in the world for several years.
The main Forum of this year's China Trademark Annual Conference is "the seventh China Brand Economy Summit Forum", with the theme of "Trademarks linking world brands to boost domestic demand". The sub-forum includes the Director of Trademark Administrative Protection Forum and so on.
The China Brand Trademark Expo, which holds in the meantime, will open up a special Jiangxi Brand Exhibition Area. It will set up an exhibition hall of geographical indication products and plan to set up Hubei and Wuhan Brand Exhibition Area, reduce exhibition fees, and promote well-known brands in central China.
It is understood that the China Trademark Festival has been held for eleven consecutive years and has played a significant role in promoting the creation, protection and application of intellectual property rights and promoting the transformation of Chinese products into Chinese brands.
