By buying a router, users can automatically block video advertisements and watch TV drama smoothly, but this behavior has led to complaints from video program operators. The operator sued the router's developer for unfair competition.

Recently, the Beijing Intellectual Property Court make the final decision to the unfair competition dispute of Beijing Sohu Internet information service co., LTD., Feihu Information Technology (Tianjin) Co., LTD. and the defendant Zhuhai Meizu Technology Co., LTD., Zhuhai Meizu Communication Equipment Co., LTD.. Beijing Intellectual Property Court identified that the two defendants produce and sell Meizu router wireless router called "extreme edition"  shields Sohu video network video patch advertisements and web advertisement. The behavior forms the violation of the recognized business ethics. The court ordered the two defendants to jointly compensate the plaintiff a total of 254,500 yuan for economic losses and reasonable expenses, maintaining the first-instance judgment previously made by The People's Court of Haidian District, Beijing.
