Recently, the Patent Prosecution Highway (PPH) project promotion training class sponsored by the National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) and co-organized by China (Zhejiang) Intellectual Property Protection Center was held in Hangzhou.

Officials from relevant departments of CNIPA introduced in detail of the development of international cooperation projects on patent examination among major countries and regions in the world. They have instructed provincial enterprises, public institutions and agencies to make rational use of patent prosecution policies when applying for patents licensing abroad, make plans in advance, and speed up the acquisition of foreign patent applications.

In the training class, personnel from Zhejiang Branch of National Overseas Intellectual property Dispute Response and Guidance Center gave guidance and publicity on overseas intellectual property dispute response, provided useful advice for enterprises and institutions to solve overseas intellectual property disputes. Representatives of the participating companies shared their experience in applying PPH in global layout. The director of China (Zhejiang) Intellectual Property Protection Center said that the overseas patent examination highway is very helpful to enterprises in Zhejiang province which has the export-oriented economy and plays a significant role in accelerating the construction of Zhejiang Province with strong intellectual property rights.
