Technology and Innovation Support Center in China covers 31 provincial-level administrative regions

Recently, the seminar of Technology and Innovation Support Center (TISC) and the National Intellectual Property Information Service Center of colleges and universities was held. The event was hosted by the Public Service Department of the National Intellectual Property Administrative of China.

The number of the TISC institutions in China has reached 102, covering 31 administrative regions at the provincial level, including the fourth batch of TISC institutions recently approved for establishment.

The first two batches of National Intellectual Property Information Service Centers have reached sixty, covering more than eighty per cent of the country's provincial administrative regions. The network of National Intellectual Property Information Service Centers of TISC institutions and universities has been preliminarily established. Deputy Director of the CNIPA He Zhimin and Inspector of the Science and Technology Department of the Ministry of Education Gao Runsheng attended the event and delivered speeches. Director of the China Office of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Liu Hua delivered video speeches. He Zhimin in his speech, pointed out that under the WIPO and the strong support of the Ministry of Education, the construction of TISC institutions and information service center at the national intellectual property institutions and colleges and universities has achieved apparent results. They have become the main force and backbone of the intellectual property information public services, and become the key to get through intellectual property information public service's "last kilometer".

He Zhimin stressed that this year marks the end of the 13th Five-Year Plan and the outline of the Intellectual Property Strategy. Based on the new situation, CNIPA strives to build the "advanced edition" of TISC with "comprehensive service category, wide service target, high service quality and new service model", and promote TISC institutions in China to become the best practice of WIPO's global TISC network.

We should give full play to the key role of the National Intellectual Property Information Service Center of colleges and universities, support the construction of national intellectual property pilot demonstration colleges and universities, constantly improve the quality and efficiency of innovation of colleges and universities, and promote colleges and universities to play a better and greater role in the development of scientific and technological innovation.
