On October 15, CNIPA Deputy Commissioner Gan Shaoning met with outgoing director Takeo Donoue and newly-appointed director Takashima Ryusuke of Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) Beijing in Beijing. Gan Shaoning said that JETRO Beijing has been engaged in the daily coordination and major activities of CNIPA and Japan Patent Office over the years and bolstered IP cooperation between the two countries. He appreciated Takeo Donoue’s contributions during his term in office to boosting cooperation between the two offices and hoped that Takashima Ryusuke could continue to support their work. Takeo Donoue and Takashima Ryusuke introduced ongoing IP work at JETRO Beijing and expressed their expectation for further cooperation with CNIPA.
