Ferrari won the legal dispute with German designer Philipp Plein

On October 19, Italy Court of Milan announced that Italian luxury racing car maker Ferrari won the legal dispute with Philipp Plein.

In 2019, Ferrari sent lawyer's letter to Philipp Plein, and request them to delete the video posted on Instagram. In the video, a pair of Philipp Plein’s sport shoe was put on the hood of a green Ferrari luxury racing car.

According to the judgment of the group consist of three judges, Philipp Plein’s action of using the picture of Ferrari in the spring 2018 runway show in Milan in June 2017 and the advertisement after that was illegal.

Following the court’s decision, Philipp Plein is obliged to remove from its web site, social media and additional platforms all the images and video showing Ferrari cars. Ferrari also obtained 300,000 euros in compensation, as well as the reimbursement of the attorney’s fees, valued at more than 25,000 euros. In addition, if Philipp Plein won’t remove or will use one of the images and videos featuring Ferrari cars, it will have to pay a sum of 10,000 euros each time.
