On October 20, Jiangsu Province Huaian City Intermediate People’s Court trialed the copyright infringement case of the Beijing Xinsheng Jianda Books Co. Ltd., Beijing Hongrui Jianxing Culture Communication Co. Ltd., and eleven defendants, including Wang for the first instance.
Zheng Yuanjie, Beijing Pipilu General Mobilization Culture Technology Co. Ltd. real-name reported this copyright infringement case. According to the investigation, the defendant Wang got the Book Selling License from the companies he and his mother owns: Xinsheng and Hongrui Company. Wang got the book printing manuscript which infringed the copyright from the defendants Chai and Guo, and sent it to five defendants, including Li, to print. Wang even attached the ‘Anti-counterfeiting Label’ on the copyright-infringed books. The defendant Wang asked five others, including Qi, to sell the books through online platforms, and formed the one-stop progress including plate-making, printing, storing, transportation, selling, and making anti-counterfeiting label.
As investigated, the total amount involved in printing and selling the copyright infringement books was more than ten million of more than one million copies, including twenty-one infringed publishing house.
