On October 21, the eighth China-Mongolia-Russia Intellectual Property Seminar was held online, the subject of the seminar was the related issues of design protection.
Director of the China National Intellectual Property Administration Shen Changyu pointed out that the cooperation of China, Mongolia, and Russia in intellectual property has been stable, continuous, and practical among these years. It has become a significant platform for practical issues and regional intellectual property cooperation. In the process of overcoming COVID-19 pandemic and improve economic recovery and development, the three parties have taken several approaches to protect the benefits of global intellectual property users. China is continuously completing intellectual property regulations and systems. The fourth amendment of the Patent Law has made modifications towards the important contents, including the period of design protection to meet the needs of the development of the era.
Director of Russia Intellectual Property Administration expressed that Russia highly valued intellectual property protection, was especially active in the design area, through taking the measures of provide temporary protection, expand the objects of protection, and optimize the procedure of examination, to improve the service capacity and level of protection continuously.
