On September 1, the fifth session of the Standing Committee of the 14th National People's Congress voted to adopt an amendment to the Civil Procedure Law, which will take effect on January 1, 2024.

Trial run of online software copyright registration in China will start from June 1, according to a notice released by the Copyright Protection Center of China(CPCC) on May 25. From June 1, applicants don't need to submit or mail the registration application materials to CPCC.
